This Brief introduces two empirically grounded models of situated mental phenomena: contextual social cognition (the collection of psychological processes underlying context-dependent social behavior) and action-language coupling (the integration of ongoing actions with movement-related verbal information). It combines behavioral, neuroscientific, and neuropsychiatric perspectives to forge a novel view of contextual influences on active, multi-domain processes. Chapters highlight the models' translational potential for the clinical field by focusing on diseases compromising social cognition (mainly illustrated by behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia) and motor skills (crucially, Parkinson’s disease). A final chapter sets forth metatheoretical considerations regarding intercognition, the constant binding of processes triggered by environmental and body-internal sources, which confers a sensus communis to our experience. In addition, the book includes two commentaries written by external peers pondering on advantages and limits of the proposal. Contextual Cognition will be of interest to students, teachers, and researchers from the fields of cognitive science, neurology, psychiatry, neuroscience, psychology, behavioral science, linguistics, and philosophy.

This research network responds to the professional and scholarly interest of a group of fourteen researchers from nine universities (eight in Spain and one in France). Furthermore, with a view to undertaking the important and necessary task of transferral, from the start the project has included five social agents, six sports entities, and a city council. In other words, this research has the clear remit to include the praxis and expertise of stakeholders whose direct involvement will help us to achieve the target transferral.

El rápido desarrollo tecnológico que ha multiplicado las oportunidades y contextos para aprender suponen un fuerte desafío para las instituciones educativas que deben repensar su papel en la sociedad actual. Como señala la Agenda Digital Europea, aunque 250 millones de personas en Europa se sirven de internet a diario, todavía hay millones que nunca lo han utilizado, quedándose excluidas del uso y disfrute de contenidos y servicios y de una participación plena en la sociedad. Las desigualdades lastran el desarrollo de las sociedades y reducen las capacidades de innovación y mejora. Por ello, la educación actual ha de servir a sociedades inclusivas, innovadoras y reflexivas.

En este volumen recogemos algunas de las posibles líneas de investigación que pueden desarrollarse desde la perspectiva de la cultura política en la Monarquía de España durante el siglo XVII. Se manifiestan en diferentes planos relacionales: entre el rey y los reinos, el rey y los súbditos, el rey y los entornos cortesanos y el rey y la dinastía. El avance de las investigaciones exige la reconsideración de mitos historiográficos arraigados que no pueden sostenerse a fuerza de su reiteración.

L’aparició d’aquests dos volums consolida el gran èxit de la col•lecció de dret civil català, que té com a objectiu l’estudi del dret civil vigent a Catalunya d’una forma completa, didàctica i actualitzada, fet que la converteix en la col•lecció de referència del panorama jurídic català, tant des d’un vessant dogmàtic com pràctic. En aquesta obra es realitza un estudi complet i exhaustiu dels drets reals aplicables a Catalunya, fent una anàlisi especial del Llibre V del Codi civil de Catalunya, Llei 5/2006, de 10 de maig, relatiu als drets reals. En aquest llibre, un grup escollit de professionals del dret, integrat per professors universitaris, registradors de la propietat, notaris, advocats i magistrats, ha aportat el seu coneixement en l’àmbit dels drets reals. El resultat és una obra que combina la teoria jurídica amb la pràctica habitual en les notaries, registres, despatxos d’advocats i tribunals de justícia i que satisfà tant les necessitats dels universitaris que han d’estudiar la matèria, com les necessitats dels professionals que han d’aplicar-la.
