How is iChatbook different from other reading apps?
Unlike other apps that make you upload books, we have 250k+ books pre-processed and ready for instant conversation. Our AI has actually read the complete books, not just summaries. Plus, we offer unique features like the Idea Graph (visual knowledge mapping), Library Intelligence (chat across bookshelves), and AI-generated storybooks you won't find elsewhere.
How do I read summaries of books?
Visit the /summarizer page to access our AI Book Summarizer. Simply search for any book, select your preferred summary length (25, 50, 75, or 100+ words), and get instant chapter-by-chapter summaries. You can also access summaries directly from any book's page. These summaries serve as the perfect entry point for deeper AI conversations.
What types of summaries are available?
We offer multi-level summaries: Quick (25 words) for a rapid overview, Standard (50 words) for key insights, Detailed (75 words) for chapter context, and Comprehensive (100+ words) for in-depth understanding. All summaries are AI-generated and tailored to help you dive deeper into conversations.
How accurate are the summaries?
Our summaries are generated by AI that has read the complete book, not just scanned metadata. They capture key themes, plot points, character developments, and central arguments. The summaries are designed to be conversation starters—you can ask follow-up questions to explore any aspect in more detail.
How do I chat with a book?
Search for any book in our Universal Library at /library, click on a book to open its detail page, then click "Start Chatting" or "Chat with AI." You can ask questions about the plot, characters, themes, historical context, or any specific passage. The AI has read the entire book and can discuss it in detail.
What can I ask the AI about a book?
You can ask anything: "What are the main themes?" "Explain the character arc of [name]" "How does Chapter 3 connect to Chapter 10?" "Compare this to [another book]" "What are the key takeaways?" "Quote a passage about [topic]" "Summarize the ending" "What historical context is important?" The AI can discuss plot details, analyze symbolism, connect ideas across chapters, and even relate concepts to other books you've read.
How detailed are the AI conversations?
Our AI has processed the complete text of each book and maintains context throughout your conversation. It can quote specific passages, analyze character development, discuss themes in depth, answer follow-up questions, and connect ideas across different parts of the book. The AI clearly indicates when it's uncertain and can explore topics conversationally for as long as you want.
How do I chat with bookshelves?
Pro and Ultimate users can navigate to their personal library or any bookshelf/collection and click on the "Chat with Shelf" or "Library Intelligence" option. For example: "What do these books say about leadership?" or "Compare the approaches to habit formation across these authors."
What is Library Intelligence?
Library Intelligence is our cross-book chat feature (available on Pro/Ultimate) that lets you have conversations across your entire book collection or specific bookshelves. It's like having a research assistant that knows your entire library.
Can I chat across multiple books?
Yes! Use Library Intelligence (Pro feature) to chat across multiple books simultaneously. Select books from your library or a specific bookshelf, then ask comparative questions like "How do these three books approach productivity?" or "What themes appear across these novels?" The AI synthesizes insights from all selected books.
How do I find books in the Universal Library?
Go to /library to browse our 250k+ vetted books. You can search by title, author, ISBN, or keywords. Browse categories like Business, Fiction, Academic, Self-Help, Science, History, and Technology. See trending books, featured collections, and recommendations. Popular books show "Available Now" while others may need a 24-hour request.
What if a book isn't available instantly?
Books not in our instant library can be requested. Click "Request This Book" and our concierge service will legally acquire and process it within 24 hours. You'll get a notification when it's ready to chat with. This service ensures virtually any book ever published can become part of your AI reading experience.

Visit /storybook/generate to create fully illustrated children's books. Simply enter a story idea, theme, or character, and our AI generates a complete illustrated storybook.
