Big Murder on Campus
Big Murder on Campus is the first book in the Wilson Toney soft-boiled mystery series. The series is about common every day people that happen to be investigators for the National Detective Agency. The series is about the interaction between these everyday people that are just doing a job for money, and the people that resent the doing of that job. The book is caustic and not at all realistic, but it is funny. If you want a quick, easy read that will make you smile a lot and guffaw every now and again, then this series and this book is for you. If you want tough guys, that use guns and fists, and are constantly at risk from the femme fatale, then go elsewhere for your reading enjoyment, as this definitely ain't it. If you want cool sleuth analysis, where the genius knows the boiling point of lead and upon that the bad guy is discerned, this ain't it. If you want to read a book that takes itself not a bit seriously, and enjoy how Roach and Bug dog people with their less than amiable style then this is the book for you. Buy it. The author wants to retire.
