Susanna of Bethsaida
Susanna of Bethsaida
The novelette, "Susanna of Bethsaida" is a wondrous short novelette, now in English and Spanish, of a Saint, a woman contemporary with Mary from Magdala, both whom walked with Christ, being one of the several female companions to the apostles, whom both discovered their destiny. Drawing on the Gospels of the New Testament, sources from the Vatican library, and other resources, we see Jesus Christ and his entourage, as they follow Him heart, mind and soul, on his journey. In the form of a monologue, Susanna tells the reader her story, her awareness to Christianity's early years and its history changing events, surrounded by a pagan world and martyrs such as John the Baptist, as this new faith emerges. Susanna, seldom written about, and surely never in a novel or novelette, to my knowledge, here for the first time one may actually visualize the holy women that followed our Lord in the First Century A.D. For the most part, Susanna is the hidden jewel; brought out to sparkle with Mary called Magdalene, Salome, and Joanna. Dr. Siluk and his wife Rosa visited Israel in 2010 A.D., included many of the places-to include Caesarea-where Jesus Christ journeyed followed by his apostles and Susanna and the other holy women. The Nazarene
This book, "The Nazarene," its subtitle: "Poems for: The Son of Man," is the sequel to Dr. Siluk's previous book: "The Galilean" with its subtitle: "Poems for the Soul," both will live long after the poet laureate has gone to meet his Maker. Never before seen by the public, with the addition, of the new section of poems (from 2015), that would perhaps have been part of the "The Galilean," had the author continued with the series. From per near over ninety-sources ((in a 30-month period) (and over 3200-hours)), the author brings to life, the ancient sacred scriptures, in a most profound historical melodramatic way; in poet prose canto; to be read and reread. The Nazarene (Poems for the Son of Man )
This book, "The Nazarene," its subtitle: "Poems for: The Son of Man," is the sequel to Dr. Siluk's previous book: "The Galilean" with its subtitle: "Poems for the Soul." From per near over ninety-sources, in a thirty-month period-and over 3200-hours-, the author brings to life, the ancient sacred scriptures, in a most profound historical melodramatic way; in poetic prose canto; to be read and reread. "The Nazarene" as the previous volume "The Galilean" is a collection of Christian poetry, that will help you better understand Christianity. They are poems on Jesus Christ, Who is the Messiah and the incarnation of God, who came to teach, suffer and died for the sins of all people, so we too, who believe in Him, could have eternal life with him, because He rose from the dead; and also poems dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the apostles, the holy women that followed Jesus during his ministry, Adam, Salvation, Judgment, etc. These are unpublished poems, from the five original chapbooks published separately in 2012 and 2013, here for the first time available in book form in this new volume for the bottomless reader. Never before seen by the public, with the addition of the new section of poems (from 2015), that would perhaps have been part of the "The Galilean," had the author continued with the series. This book includes 63 poems, illustrated and bilingual: in English and Spanish. Both books have their own soul, which will live long after the poet laureate has gone to meet his Maker.
