Daughter of Sarpedon is an anthology of 48 short stories, poems, and drabbles centered around Medusa.

"This project is a translation of the introduction, conclusion, and chapters one, two, three, five, and nine of the French non-fiction book Paris: Quinze promenades sociologiques by Michel Pinçon and Monique Pinçon-Charlot, originally published in 2009 by Éditions Payot & Rivages. By way of the original work, the translation covers the historical evolution of the Sentier, Saint-Germain-des-Près, and quartier chinois districts in Paris, as well as the métro system and the city in general. In response to the changing social landscape of Paris, the text expands on the histories of its districts and details the current cultural and sociological specificities (including immigration and emerging industries) of each of the chapters' contents through its structuring of specific walks designed to guide the reader through the city. A translator's introduction in two parts provides justification for bringing this work into translation with support from additional research; part one advocates the need for a sociological guide to Paris, where it fits within the realm of literature, and explains how this work can broaden the reader's scope of the city (particularly students or those living in Paris) in terms of its diversity; part two explains how the translation was produced through the method of domesticating the text to the target language, and defends specific choices that were made during the process. As a whole, the project cultivates a readership that will gain a sociological understanding of Paris and its diverse offerings".
