The Crossroad
As much as we love God, our connection with God does not make us automatic recipients of His promises. As endearing as Moses was to God, there was a behavior he demonstrated that prevented him from crossing into the Land of Canaan. One aspect of being a part of the Joshua generation is acknowledging and accepting that there were some actions, behaviors, and deeds the preceding generation did that prevented them from entering their Promised Land. Even as intended recipients of the spoken promises of God, we can also demonstrate actions, behaviors, and deeds on the road towards our promise that can prevent us from ever seeing them unfolded in our lives. The Crossroad is an enlightening devotional that addresses several spiritual elements that appear on the road towards the promise that can misdirect us and hinder us from ever accessing the promises of God for our lives. It discusses how disobedience, weaknesses, an evil report, and frustration can cause us to miss the promises of God altogether. By the conclusion of this devotional, readers will be encouraged to develop a better understanding of the barriers that could prevent us from entering the promises of God and become determined to avoid them to experience God’s abundance.
