Modernist Masterpieces
With the Haubrich Collection, Museum Ludwig has one of the foremost collections of 'Classic' Modernism in Germany. Josef Haubrich, a Cologne lawyer, assembled the collection between the 1920s and 1940s and made it over to the City of Cologne in 1946.Now for the first time the museum has prepared a comprehensive catalogue on this part of its collection, including a rich selection of plates and the latest findings from the provenance research.Included are works by Beckmann, Chagall, Dix, Grosz, Heckel, Jawlensky, Kirchner, Kokoschka, Mataré, Otto Müller and Nolde.
