When customers pay their bills, the person in charge receive copies of the payment receipt vouchers. Payment vouchers are documents show that money was received from customers for invoices. They show that the payment was received. The records of payment receipt vouchers are called customer payment histories. By looking at the customer payment history records, the person in charge of sale knows if customers pay their bills on time. Each customer has a credit limit. The credit limit is the most that customer can owe and still buy from the company. If a customer owes more than the limit, the salesman cannot approve an order. However, the credit manager can approve the order if he thinks the customer will pay. Often the credit manager will call the customer and ask for some payment before the order is shipped or dispatched.

Muhammad's Body introduces questions of embodiment and materiality to the study of the Prophet Muhammad. Analyzing classical Muslim literary representations of Muhammad's body as they emerge in Sunni hadith and sira from the eighth through the eleventh centuries CE, Michael Muhammad Knight argues that early Muslims' theories and imaginings about Muhammad's body contributed in significant ways to the construction of prophetic masculinity and authority. Knight approaches hadith and sira as important religiocultural and literary phenomena in their own right. In rich detail, he lays out the variety of ways that early believers imagined Muhammad's relationship to beneficent energy—baraka—and to its boundaries, effects, and limits. Drawing on insights from contemporary theory about the body, Knight shows how changing representations of the Prophet's body helped to legitimatize certain types of people or individuals as religious authorities, while marginalizing or delegitimizing others. For some Sunni Muslims, Knight concludes, claims of religious authority today remain connected to ideas about Muhammad's body.

The text that you hold in your hands is a translation of the unique work on Islamic Law and Beliefs by Bilali Muhammad (1770s-1857) of Sapelo Island, Georgia. This includes a biography of Bilali Muhammad, a translation of his writings, a list of words from the Gullah dialect of English from him and other early Muslims, a description of the education system he studied under and the texts he studied, and a discussion placing Bilali's work in the context of Islam in the West and the effects of the slave trade. This grandfather of American Islamic Literature needs to be further studied and this work starts the process.

This is a translation of the only extant book on Islamic Law written in Arabic during the era of slavery in the United States. It also includes photos of the original text and a biography of the author Bilali Muhammad. Proceeds from this edition will be used to rebuild the Praise Houses and Rosenwald schools on Bilali's last home of Sapelo Island.
