Ink Stains, Volume 6
Ink Stains, Volume 6
Crossing the line. In life, we draw many lines—between good and evil, guilt and innocence, real and unreal, life and death. And having drawn these lines, we cross them because humanity is curious, careless, devious, and, sometimes, downright wicked. So what happens if you cross the line? Does it change you and what is waiting on the other side? In Ink Stains, Volume 6, ten authors explore what it means to cross the line and the price we pay to do it. This is a collection of short stories that range from fantasy through science fiction to horror and from the fantastical to the grit of day to day life. Join writers Monica Carter, George Kelly, Alison Garsha, Ken Goldman, Elana Gomel, Christopher Locke, Morrison, Thomas Olbert, Evan Purcell, and Nicole Tanquary as they step over the line to find what waits on the other side.

The Expanded Family Life Cycle
The Expanded Family Life Cycle
Now featured in a Classics Edition with a new Foreword by Donald Boch, The Expanded Family Life Cycle integrates theory and current research with clinical guidelines and cases by two of the most-respected authors, teachers, and clinicians in the field of family therapy, Betty Carter and Monica McGoldrick. This classic Family Therapy text provides "and more comprehensive way to think about human development and the life cycle," reflecting changes in society away from orientation toward the nuclear family, toward a more diverse and inclusive definition of "family." This expanded view of the family includes the impact of issues at multiple levels of the human system: the individual, family households, the extended family, the community, the cultural group, and the larger society. The text features a ground-breaking integration of individual male and female development in systemic context; our increasing racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity; the emergence of men's movements and issues; the growing visibility of lesbian and gay families; and the neglected area of social class.

UFO Adult Coloring Book
UFO Adult Coloring Book
This is work of creative art and satire (17 U.S. Code § 107) UFOs have constituted a widespread international cultural phenomenon since the 1950s. Gallup Polls rank UFOs near the top of lists for subjects of widespread recognition. In 1973, a survey found that 95 percent of the public reported having heard of UFOs, whereas only 92 percent had heard of U.S. President Gerald Ford in a 1977 poll taken just nine months after he left the White House. A 1996 Gallup Poll reported that 71 percent of the United States population believed that the U.S. government was covering up information regarding UFOs. A 2002 Roper Poll for the Sci-Fi Channel found similar results, but with more people believing that UFOs are extraterrestrial craft. In that latest poll, 56 percent thought UFOs were real craft and 48 percent that aliens had visited the Earth. Again, about 70 percent felt the government was not sharing everything it knew about UFOs or extraterrestrial life.

They Never Told
What's your secret? Don't say you don't have one, because you do. We all do. Sometimes our secrets liberate us internally, but sometimes they enable us. They enable us to live unconsciously in our deepest thoughts. Sometimes we tell, and sometimes we don't. That's the thing though, what is it that helps us decide when to remain silent or talk? That's what They Never Told is about. Monica engages the reader by introducing you to the journey of four (4) adults who are survivors of childhood sexual assault. Each person tells a story spanning from childhood to present that introduces you to their world. To a world that others can relate to as their own. To a world that is sometimes up, sometimes down, and oftentimes reflective. To a world that contains potential answers for our future. They Never Told, is about bridging the communication and trust gaps between youth and adults. What we are finding is that the actual rate of childhood sexual assault is much higher than what's reported. Why is that? What is keeping our children from telling a dark secret? Is it trust? Is it fear? Or is it much deeper than that? This book is aimed at making you think critically about your personal relationships with the youth and survivors in your life. This is a book for parents, teachers, grandparents, and young professionals.
