Alexander Rosborough was born in about 1740 Antrim County, Ireland. His parents were Alexander Rosborough and Margaret Wallam. He married Martha Gaston (1741-1804) in about 1762. They had seven children. They emigrated in 1769 and settled in South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Indiana, Illinois, Florida and Texas.
