Los trabajos aquí reunidos trazan el itinerario público de la poesía de Emilio Barón desde su primer libro, aparecido en 1974, hasta la reciente edición de Los días, los dones (poesía 1978-2009). Registran, por tanto, la visión crítica que ha acompañado a las diversas entregas de una poesía que algunos consideran una de las "más atractivas de cuantas hoy se conciben en España" . El primer apartado, DOSSIER: notas, reseñas, cartas y entrevistas, recoge, en orden cronológico (ma non troppo), aquellas reseñas aparecidas al hilo de la publicación de los libros del autor, así como las menciones a ellos en historias, estudios y antologías. Una serie de entrevistas en las que Emilio Barón da información sobre su quehacer poético y literario, y algunas cartas de poetas y escritores dirigidas al autor, enriquecen esta imagen crítica. Para completarla, hemos considerado conveniente incluir algunos trabajos sobre sus estudios y ensayos y sobre su única novela publicada, Librería Macondo (1991). El segundo apartado, Memorias, estudios y bibliografía, reúne capítulos de algunas memorias que se ocupan de Emilio Barón, y diversos estudios temáticos sobre su poesía, así como una bibliografía actualizada de su obra y de la crítica en torno a ella. Por último, bajo el título Solus poetaque nascitur, ofrecemos una selección de poemas preparada por el propio autor, a modo de introducción a esta poesía.

Estética reúne ocho ensayos sobre temas cruciales de estética filosófica, escritos por prestigiosos investigadores españoles y británicos que repasan el estado de la cuestión y ofrecen puntos de vista originales sobre las cuestiones centrales de la disciplina en la actualidad. One hundred years after his birth, Nobel laureate Octavio Paz is considered one of the most important thinkers of Mexican identity, one of the most influential Mexican poets, and one of the main representatives of a national cosmopolitanism. Most readings of his work, whether critical or laudatory, operate within these parameters. Through a careful analysis of Latin Americanist discourses on identity and difference, Heterogeneity of Being goes beyond the standard interpretations of Octavio Paz as a thinker of national identity and proposes a radical rethinking of the rift and the bond between literature and philosophy. It puts forth the key concept of “dif/herencia”—a difference, a wound, an inheritance, a burden and a dispossession—and reads it through the notion of similitude in order to show that Paz’s “tradition of rupture” properly displays a continuity between self and other, identity and difference, time and space. O livro Vidamorte: biopolíticas em perspectiva, composto de 17 capítulos e um post scriptum, é resultado dos encontros possibilitados pelo Colóquio de mesmo nome, realizado na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais em novembro de 2019. Os capítulos deste livro percorrem os labirintos das técnicas políticas de gestão dos corpos e das populações do final do século XX e início do século XXI. Travando diálogo com autores como Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, Roberto Esposito, Achille Mbembe e Giorgio Agamben, os capítulos traçam algumas linhas teóricas e práticas da produção necro(bio)política do presente. Ademais, as reflexões compiladas nesse livro traçam caminhos teóricos importantes nas tessituras da crítica do nosso tempo político. Temas como racismo de Estado em seus desdobramentos na persecução penal de grupos mais vulneráveis, governamentalidade neoliberal, manifestações estéticas e culturais insurgentes no cenário do rap nacional, experiências autoritárias no campo da educação e criminalização de grupos populacionais recortados pelo crivo da raça, do gênero e da vulnerabilidade estão insertas em um mesmo fio condutor das técnicas políticas de gestão da vida e da morte.
