Contains the basic terms and expressions used in parliamentary procedure, based mainly on the Parliamentary Terminology glossary prepared in 1985. Although intended primarily for public servants, the glossary will also prove of interest to the general public.

This glossary contains terms related to procedure in the Parliament of Canada. Because the language of parliamentary procedure and debate is highly formalized, frequently encountered expressions and procedural formulas have also been included.
