The world is burning and the dead walk the lands. The homes and safe places that have been the places of the living are now empty and broken. Pursued by a force of malevolent evil two groups of survivors race toward the hoped for safety of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. But in the North the perceived safe haven of White Harbor may not be as safe as its residents believe. As a more human evil plots against the bastion of life and the travelers from the south are tried and tested on their journey the world marches closer and closer to becoming a domain of the dead.

This fascinating and readable account will appeal to all those interested in the Antarctic region in general.

The end has come as the various groups and factions race to the apocalyptic climax. As the people of White harbor struggle to shore up their defenses the Rangers and Wolverines make a stand at the Mighty Mackinac Bridge in an effort to thwart the crossing of the Army of the Dead. Some will live and some will die but in the end it will all be decided with the courage of the living on the Shores of the Dead.

Like so many of you I am a very flawed human being. This short collection of essays is my attempt to categorize and divest myself of these flaws, or at least the shame and self-doubt they engender within me.
