Metal Concentrations in Liver and Kidney Tissues of Pacific Walrus
"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service continued a 1981-1984 baseline study (Taylor et al. 1989) in 1986-1989, to evaluate contaminant levels in tissues of Pacific walrus harvested in the spring by Alaska Natives. Samples from 56 walrus (32 males, 24 females) were collected in the villages of Diomede (n=21), Gambell (n=31), and Savoonga (n=4)."--P. [1]
