This is the story of an undocumented immigrant living in the United States. As I look back to that unforgettable day, my family and I set out for this country, I never thought twenty years later I would be looking back to tell my story. And twenty years later, I never thought I would still be in the same position I was when I crossed the border undocumented. In this book, I reflect back on my most intimate, personal, and embarrassing moments as I adapted to a new country, a new culture, and a new way of life. Will my status ever change? That remains to be seen, as for now, I focus on the present in hopes for a more secure, peaceful future in this country.

This book is the second edition of an excellent undergraduate-level overview of classical and modern physics, intended for students of physics and related subjects, and also perfectly suited for the education of physics teachers. The twelve-chapter book begins with Newton’s laws of motion and subsequently covers topics such as thermodynamics and statistical physics, electrodynamics, special and general relativity, quantum mechanics and cosmology , the standard model and quantum chromodynamics. The writing is lucid, and the theoretical discussions are easy to follow for anyone comfortable with standard mathematics.
