Appassionata
With the opening of the new Kunst museum Ravensburg, the Stiftung Selinka is presenting to the city of Ravensburg more than 200 significant works of art of the 20th century on permanent loan. The bundle of works from the Expressionist period, as well as from the Cobra and Spur groups, forms the basis for the future exhibition activity of the new institute. The opening exhibition bears the title 'Appassionata', after the painting of the same name from the collection by Asger Jorn. The book examines "private-public-partnerships", questions the concept of feeling in the programmes of the artist groupings of Expressionism, Cobra and Spur, and documents how the collection was created in a talk between the future director, Nicole Fritz, and collector Gudrun Selinka. 0Exhibition: Kunstmuseum Ravensburg, Germany (8.3.2013).
