This volume, by Mr. George H. Lorimer, contains fourteen letters purporting to be written by John Graham, head of the house of Graham & Co., pork packers in Chicago, and familiarly known "on change" as "Old Gorgon Graham," to his son, Pierrepont, some time an undergraduate at Harvard University, facetiously called "Piggy" by his fellow-students, and later an employee of the house of Graham & Co.
