The papers consist chiefly of an untitled, illustrated book about Denwar Ceramics, brief reminiscences about the workshops by two of its participants, and an oral history interview with an accompanying transcript conducted by Kathy Sulentic, focusing on Esther Dendel's relationships with family and friends in Iowa, Liberia, and California. Also included is a scrapbook containing photographs, letters, and newspaper clippings about her involvement in 4-H club activities in Marshall County, Iowa, and a listing of the twelve books she wrote.
