The Story of Foster Care
The Story of Foster Care is an autobiographical work by seven authors and photographers with experience in the U.S. out-of-home care system. In a collaborative effort, three foster care alumni, two social workers and two foster parents tell this compelling story with the purpose of illustrating the complex nature of the foster care system. The photos and stories speak to the larger experience of foster care and challenge readers to consider where they can make a difference in a story that affects over 400,000 children and youth annually.
