Cataloging Hebrew Materials in the Online Environment
Discusses the history, rules, and customs of the very different traditions followed by the two centers of Hebrew cataloging: the Library of Congress and the Jewish National and University Library in Jerusalem. Explores the differences between American and Israeli automation of the Hebraica library, and in particular, the two major bibliographic networks with vernacular Hebrew cataloging capability: American's RLIN and Israel's ALEPH-based academic library network. Analyzes the potential for exchanging Hebrew bibliographic data. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
