The Wigmaker's Dilemma
It is a trite, but true, observation that when Mrs. Blather entered the sleeping chamber of his Lordship, Sir Thomas Duckworth, he had, sometime in the night before, the misfortune of having died in his sleep. Sir Thomas has been murdered, that is in evidence. The events of this black comedy are revealed in reverse order. Chocked full of rivaling siblings, clever disguises, a bilious housemaid, bleating sheep, and a Wigmaker at the mercy of his unscrupulous libido; all artfully manipulated by a woman scorned.
