Spiritual pursuit is beleived to be difficult and most people do not consider taking it up. But with proper information and guidance it is possible for an average person to successfully take up the challenge and with persistence, determination and faith/shraddha, one can attain ‘Moksha’ in the present lifetime itself. After studying Bhagavad Gita and with the guidance on my Guru, I have found that it is relatively simple. I have been practising the spiritual saadhanas of Karma Yoga, Upaasana Yoga and Jnaana Yoga for the past few years. This book is to share my own experiences with all and to strongly recommend it to all and the title is to emphasize that the spiritual path is easy for anyone who desires to achieve that Ultimate Knowledge.

"Glimpses of surgery and a surgeon” is a well written narrative of a surgeon about his personal life and philosophy, with a short history of medicine and surgery, his experiences in surgical practice, his observations and thoughts about surgery of the past and future, with relevant references. The writing is charming, simple, nostalgic and humorous. His “stories” are narrated in painstaking detail with suspense and expectations. He succeeds in drawing your attention. A skinny 17 yrs old boy arrives in the city of Madras after a first ever train ride from Udupi. He meets a “stocky and dark vice principal, wearing a tie and thick soda glass spectacles“ at Stanley Medical College. He was asked to get out of the office and have his shirt buttoned up. He complied and was advised to find accommodation in the Hostel. He manages to join the hostel where he finds room enough to sleep on the verandah. When he took his exam in MS, a strange thing happened. The student failed because his own mentor, Prof. S.C. Misra and two other examiners disagreed with his diagnosis-although the candidate made the right diagnosis which became evident later, by further investigations! He is a gifted story teller with picturesque description of several real case histories. His memory is amazing for details. This nice book will make interesting reading for his friends, medical students, nurses and surgeons especially. (Full review in the book.)

1.1 Production: Cost of production is the deciding factor for supply which depends upon prices of raw materials and its physical relation between input and output. It is the physical relation between input and output which determines the cost of production. Production represents functional relationship between quantities of inputs and amount of output produced. Production is an economic activity. Production is used for an activity of making some material. In economics, production is used in a wider sense. 1.2 Importance of Production: Price theory plays an important role in the theory of production. This provides a base for analysis of relationship between costs and amounts of output. Cost along with demand and supply of a product determine the price of a product. Cost of production is determined by the prices of inputs of production and thereby the price of product. Secondly, the basis of theory of firm demand for factors of production is theory of production. The theory of production plays a pivotal role in theory of firm. The theory of firm deals with the level of output whichwill produce in turn the maximum profits. The firm’s marginal and average costs of production decide the profits maximizing output besides the demand conditions. In addition to the prices of inputs, the changes in marginal and average costs of production as a result of increase in output are determined by the physical relationship between inputs and output.
