End Game
The letters are carved into the foreheads of dead bodies found on the streets of the fashionable Upper East Side of Manhattan. The police are baffled--until detective Paul Regal receives a phone call from the killer. The bodies represent chessmen; their locations are moves on a chessboard whose squares are city blocks. The challenge: figure out the chess killer's next move, and stop him. Luckily, New York City has a resident chess champion, the legendary Billy Abbott--unless Abbott himself "is" the chess killer.
