" As Vincent De Marcos watches a barge carry off a supersonic airliner to a museum in November 2003, he can't help but think: The old boat still has a place in the world, but the Concorde apparently does not. For the first time in the history of transportation, distances have become longer, and it feels like a funeral-only they are burying the future instead of a person. No one seems to care, but sixteen years later Vincent still can't help thinking about what the world has lost. To him, we still live in the past, and smartphones and tablets, as amazing as they are, will never change that. He struggles to focus on work at the Rigor Insurance building and looks forward to sometimes flirting with his friend, the beautiful Nuria Guzman. It's only by chance that he sees a presentation about the supposed existence of a forgotten Jewish community composed of elite, scientific thinkers that have been hiding in Antarctica since World War2. Throwing caution to the wind, he decides to search for the community, even though it means risking his life. Perdemos muitas vezes, pessoas que amamos, ao tentar ser nós mesmos, talvez por essas pessoas não estarem em vibração igual a nossa, sendo assim é natural que pessoas diferentes acabem se afastando de nossos caminhos, de nossas vidas. Le tourisme international engendre une exportation particulière où seuls les clients se déplacent. La thèse étudie la problématique de la croissance tirée par le tourisme international en considérant cette spécificité de l'exportation touristique. La recherche s'attache à caractériser la dynamique de long terme entre la fréquentation touristique et le revenu par tête. Dans un cadre d'équilibre général, différents contextes sont modélisés: économie uni-sectorielle et bi-sectorielle; mécanique de croissance par accumulation du capital (physique privé et public) et par innovation. L'effet de la fréquentation sur la croissance de long terme est doublement traité: via un flux exogène (suivant le Tourism Area Life Cycle selon Butler, 1980) puis endogène (au capital public et contraint par les capacités de réception). Chaque contexte dégage des résultats spécifiques. De la mécanique d'accumulation dans un cadre uni-sectoriel émerge une équation explicative du revenu par tête lié directement à la fréquentation touristique. L'expérience de la Caraïbe valide la modélisation. L'économie bi-sectorielle démontre que les effets de spécialisation du flux touristique reposent sur les caractères technologiques du bien consommé par les visiteurs. La croissance à base touristique par accumulation du capital public ou par innovation génère un effet d'échelle lié à la taille de l'espace économique. L'exercice du pouvoir de marché des destinations est une conséquence du Tourism Led Growth. II doit être compensé par le progrès technique ou les effets de productivité du travail du capital public. La contribution théorique de la thèse dépasse les résultats spécifiques de chaque modélisation. Elle qualifie la croissance tirée par le tourisme international de croissance endogène, majoritairement caractérisée par un taux de croissance du revenu par tête qui diminue dans le temps.

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar as soluções jurídicas já existentes e propor novas formas de saneamento para as crises das instituições financeiras. Se, por um lado, as crises são fenômenos quase intrinsecamente imprevisíveis (porque se previsíveis fossem, não se teria permitido sua ocorrência), por outro lado, aqueles que desejam pensar o Direito não podem relevar a inquietude decorrente do temor desses eventos e, nesse sentido, buscar reflexões sobre como lidar com eles de modo menos gravoso para a estabilização das situações de crise ? no caso deste trabalho, relativas às instituições financeiras. A importância das instituições financeiras no Brasil (mas não somente) é inegável, assim como também é quase tátil a percepção de que crises nesse setor específico afetam (ou podem afetar) a economia do país inteiro. As necessidades econômicas estão em constante evolução e, frequentemente, em velocidade superior àquela com que o faz o ordenamento jurídico. A crise do subprime em 2008 evidenciou que políticas de desregulação podem conter ou dar ensejo a problemas estruturais que obnubilem o risco (no sentido de que, muitas vezes, a euforia de perseguir o lucro desestimula comportamentos prudenciais). Através do estudo das crises, o que se pretende é compreender suas causas, a fim de evitar que os comportamentos indesejados se repitam, e oferecer novas soluções e perspectivas para situações congêneres.

Migration is a critical issue for the European Union (EU). The free movement of workers throughout the EU is enshrined in Titles IV and V TFEU; and Article 45 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. The UK's withdrawal from the EU affects both British and EU labour markets across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, services industries, knowledge-based high-tech industries and education. Workers' and businesses' recruitment and employment decision-making will be affected by this profound shift in the EU labour market. In addition, the future EU-UK relationship will also impact upon social, health and labour policies, such as wages and pensions.Australian policy makers have a particular interest in the future development of the EU Single Market and its labour markets after the UK's exit from the EU. Australia is currently negotiating a FTA with the EU. Australia is also finalising a FTA with the UK, which may include freedom of movement provisions that exceed GATS Mode 4, which covers the free movement of persons in the delivery of services. In 2017, the former Australian Prime Minister, Mr Tony Abbott, called for not only 'absolutely free' trade between the UK and Australia, but also the freedom of British and Australian citizens to reside in each other's countries without restrictions. Consequently, as the UK seeks to fill labour market shortages following the cessation of free movement to and from the EU, both UK and Australian immigration policy in the current decade will also have major impacts upon EU, UK and Australian citizens' immigration decisions.This Policy Brief addresses contemporary issues in labour mobility and immigration policy in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe.
