BILLY ANTONIO is a poet, writer, and public school teacher. He is the author of the mini-chapbook In a Country with Two Seasons (a haiku collection) published by Poems-For-All. His short story, The Kite, has been broadcast on 4EB-FM, 98.1 in Brisbane, Australia. Some of his fiction and poetry have been published in Tincture Journal, Red River Review, Poetry Quarterly, Akitsu Quarterly, Anak Sastra, The Cicada's Cry, Frameless Sky, The Mainichi, Scifaikuest, Star*Line, The Asahi Shimbun, Sonic Boom, among others. His poetry has won international recognition. He lives in the Philippines with his wife, Rowena, and his two daughters, Felicity and Asiel Sophie.

In this collection of 40 haiku and senryu, Billy Antonio examines the nature of loss and separation and reflects on finding renewal and reconciliation in nature. He contemplates the heartache of a boy's first love-"losing a balloon/ to the wind/ puppy love"- to the pain of coping with Alzheimer's. Above all these, Losing a Balloon enlightens that "after the storm/ the trees/ offer more sky."

"Where in the World is The Alien Buddha" is an experimental anthology which features 19 different writers, each born in a different nation. The idea for this project came to mind around the time ABP was conceived in 2016, when I noticed already that submissions for publication were coming from all over the planet.Although the Alien Buddha respects boundaries, it knows no borders. I believe that peace on earth is not only achievable, but inevitable. Peace on Earth is inevitable in the sense that the lifespan for humanity is finite, and when the last person is gone, the Earth itself will achieve harmony. Peace on Earth is achievable in the sense that it does not need to take that long. A world free of war and exploitation can be accomplished. Cooperation is natural; love is natural. War and hate are constructs and sicknesses that can be eradicated. We just need to stop differentiating each other by the languages we speak, the color of our skin, and what part of the globe we were born on. We need to turn off the manipulative, corporate-owned 24-hour news stations. More people need to read beautiful multicultural books of poetry, prose, art, and photography.

The collection contains an essay by Harris about his experiences during World War II and two identical professional photographs of Harris in his later years. Also included is a five page carbon copy of a report titled, Annex 14 action at Wiltz, Luxembourg, December 17 to 19, 1944. Annex 14 was written by Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Thomas L. Hoban, commanding officer, Special Troops, 28th Infantry Division and Division Headquarters commandant, with help from other division officers, while a prisoner of war (POW) at Stalag XII-A and OFLAG 79 in Germany.
