General description of the collection: The William S. Flahart papers are preservation copies of newspaper clippings from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. The clippings are about the draft and local draft boards. There are several lists of registrants in different draft districts. Several articles are concerning William S. Flahart, his reporting for the draft, and leaving his family.

Includes daily diaries, bird notes and journals, trip logs and notes, and reminiscences. Books 1 and 2 also contain his bird journals, Dec. 1923-June 1924; book 26 also has reminiscences written in the early 1990's on selected topics. Biography and obituary of W.E.
