League of United Latin American Citizens Records
Consists of materials on the founding, history, and activities of the League of United Latin American Citizens and precursor organizations, records of the national organization, and records of some districts and councils, especially those in Texas. Includes correspondence, memoranda, minutes, reports, financial and legal records, scrapbooks, newsclippings, photographs and slides, microfilm, audio and video tapes, blueprints, renderings, ephemera, memorabilia, conference programs, and publications. These materials document the efforts of LULAC to improve the economic and social status of Mexican Americans in the United States. The office files of national presidents of LULAC comprise the bulk of the records. Copies of official organizational publications are also included.
