Before wealth there was poverty. Before racism there was slavery. Before Desegregation there was segregation and before blocked shots became a stat there was Bill Russell. With racism at it's peak playing as a Celtic basketball is not all he has to worry about in the city of Boston.

The dance music world is a beautiful place that is often misrepresented as a hedonistic playground. In 2011 the scene experienced a rather large explosion in popularity. Washington DC felt the full force of this with a rise so paramount it paved way to one of the largest clubs on the east coast which came to be known as Echostage. Many of us bonded over a dance known as the Melbourne Shuffle which slowly built up into a movement in the district.The scene isn't perfect. It's far from it actually. This story follows Cody the DJ, Ericka the go-go dancer, Alonzo the drug dealer, and Josh the club promoter as they navigate the club world in their own separate ways. This is based on my own accounts and each character is a combination of 3-5 real life people and real events. There's a lot of good in the nightlife world. There's also a lot of bad. All you can really do is shut up and shuffle.
