This is Science Fiction because all of it is unlikely. But most of what I write is unlikely. These are more of the "Fast Story" genre which I began with CAKE. If you haven't read that collection, you should. The second entry in this collection, called HIGHWIRE, is not fast, even though I ran it all together to make it appear that way. Still, it's brief. Writing is an exercise for me to see if I can draw a circle around an idea and close it quickly. I'm sure I'm part of the impatient generation. In real life I'm a salesman. I've never been good with the "sizzle." I just like to get to the bite. If I offended anybody because you think you see yourself in here it was because you were irresistible. If you're offended because you're not in here I'll try to get around to you in the next one. At least you should check.
