This manuscript contains the transcript of an oral interview held January 31, 2000 with Phoenix, Arizona resident, Ed Korrick. He discusses his family and their contributions and lives upon immigrating the U.S. He also recounts stories from his life in Phoenix and his career in Phoenix politics.

Ernest Erickson discusses working in a lumber camp that was five miles north of Rapid River. Ernest talks about working throughout the year and the difficulties of working during the winter. He discusses the tools and equipment used along with which forms of transportation were used on a daily basis. Ernest discusses in detail the life of a logger including meals, rules, and downtime. Ernest was paid eighty dollars a month which was higher than the average logger's pay. He talks about the experience lumberjacks have and the few accidents that did happen in the camp.
