Carolyn Ross Manchester Collection
Consists of photographs, photograph albums, a baby book, an autograph album, family genealogical information including research notes, family histories, and correspondence (related in part to Ms. Manchester's applications for the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society), newspaper clippings, church-related documentation, school diplomas (e.g. from Deering High School in Portland) and the University of Michigan 1943 calendar. Also includes information on Carolyn Ross Manchester's father, Edwin Frederick Manchester, and her mother Mabelle Ross Manchester. Other topics represented include pets in Maine and the Camp Fire Girls. Families represented include the Ross, Manchester, Eveleth, Crowder, Stuart, Dockum, Masterson, and Richarson families. Objects in the collection include clothing, some of which are located in the MHS Museum.
