Né et élevé en Roumanie, Brancusi s'est installé en 1904 à Paris où il vécut jusqu'à sa mort en 1957. Il est considéré comme l'un des plus grands sculpteurs du XXe siècle. In February 1968, Moderna Museet in Stockholm opened the doors to a major solo exhibition of works by Andy Warhol. A substantial part of the exhibition consisted of the book, which was not to be an analytical exhibition catalogue of Warhols works, but a book that conveyed Warhols aesthetics without burdensome text. Instead of essays, they let the artist speak for himself, in short quotations published in English and Swedish. This is where Warhols arguably most famous statement was first seen in print: In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes.
