Thomas Current was born ca. 1759, probably in Scotland. He and his wife, Margaret, had ten children, 1780-ca. 1803. The family migrated from Maryland to Bourbon County, Kentucky, ca. 1793. He died near Paris, Kentucky, in 1865. His son, Matthew Current, was born in 1800 in Bourbon County. He married Jane Wilson Call in Harrison County, Kentucky, in 1824. They had eight children, 1830-1848. He was murdered in 1865 on his farm near Paris, Kentucky. Descendants listed lived in Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, and elsewhere.
