Applying the cutting-edge forensic techniques of television's "CSI" to the world's most famous painting yields a fresh look at how Leonardo's masterwork was constructed.

Items in the collection relate to Leonardo's service in Vietnam. The collection contains 11 letters Leonardo wrote from his base at Pleiku to a colleague at the Department of History and Archives. Two other letters were written to Mary Phillips of Des Moines. The collection also includes a pamphlet, "The Religions of Vietnam", a colorized map of Southeast Asia, a newspaper clipping from the Des Moines Sunday Register (1968) showing the countries of Southeast Asia, a photo of James Leonardo in uniform, an issue of the Observer (vol. 6, no. 4, May 31, 1967), and an MACV Vietnamese phrasebook.
