Matthys or Thys Janse Lanen Van Pelt immigrated from Liege, Belgium in 1663 to New Jersey. He married twice, and his sons used the surname of Thyssen. Descendants and relatives lived in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio and elsewhere.

Benjamin Fortin (ca. 1818-1867) married Flavia Yvette (Vivett in death record), and they moved to Vermont about 1847. Descendants lived chiefly in New England.

George Walker (Wolger, Volger) immigrated from Germany via Rotterdam to Philadelphia in 1749. He settled in Waverly, New York and later moved to Bradford Co., Pennsylvania. He fought in the Revolutionary War, and in 1793 moved to Elmira, New York. He died in 1812. Descendants lived in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere.

George Walker, surname probably anglicized from Wolger or Volger, was born about 1740 and immigrated with his parents from Holland to Philadelphia in 1749. After several moves in Pennsylvania, he settled in Owego, Tioga co., New York, where he died in 1812. Descendants lived in New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, and elsewhere.
