Happiness Can Terrify Me
As a child, a girl tries to escape from the rage and silent retreat of her mother. As she builds her life - college, career and beyond - her mothers life comes to an end. Still, as she attempts to emerge from the past, it follows her through life with patterns of abandonment, trust issues and deceit. Each relationship, subsequently becomes tainted and influenced in some way by the betrayals of her mother. Ironically, the biggest fear in her life is that she is slowly becoming the one person that hurt her the most.....But, the reader may ask, why would a person with the potential for so much happiness allow herself to self-destruct?
