Random Thoughts about Life and Living
Elizabeth Thornton grew up in the Boston area, along with five brothers and a sister. She then raised her family in Canton, Massachusetts, and spent many summers in the picturesque, historic area of Sand Hills, Scituate. The inspiration for some of her writing comes from this delightful New England community. Scituate sits in a wonderful mixture of sand, rocks, mudflats, salt air, a tall lighthouse, and a busy harbor. The sights and sounds are ever changing as sailboats and lobster boats come and go. Seagulls sing, soar, and dip. Each day is special as the tide ebbs and flows. Some days there are jellyfish in the water. Other days unusual objects wash ashore. It's a setting in which to think, reflect, and write. And she did. This book contains but a few of her remarkable poems and short stories. She now lives and parties in Circle 4 in Delray Beach, Florida.
