Souvenirs de Nancy
Nancy Coutu served in the Peace Corps in 1996 and 1997. Just months before her term expired, she was raped and murdered in Madagascar. Her Mother, Connie Coutu, collected letters Nancy sent to relatives and friends and added them to the journal the Peace Corp gave to Nancy's family. Nancy made great strides in madagascar. her efforts resulted in receipt of Knighthood in that country, dedication of a school to her, a plaque in a New England park for her, and the U.S. Postal Peace Corp stamp dedicated to her.
