Little Room Records
Business records, correspondence, and miscellaneous materials relating to the activities of The Little Room. Documents concerning the organization and operation of the club (accounts, bills, executive committee meeting records (1902-1909), membership lists (1909-1922), and secretarial forms and notices) were retained by Allen Bartlit Pond and Nellie V. Walker, secretaries to the group. The outgoing (1903-1910) and incoming (1923-1924) correspondence of Pond and Walker with members and prospective members concerns dues, activities, and related matters. Correspondents include George Ade, H.C. Chatfield-Taylor, Henry Blake Fuller, Alice Gerstenberg, James T. Hatfield, Franklin H. Head, John T. McCutcheon, Anna Morgan, Allen Bartlit Pond, and Edith Wyatt. Material related to club activities includes memorials to Madeline Yale Wynne, William H. Carter, and Allen Bartlit Pond, photographs of Henry Blake Fuller and of a 1904 Little Room production of George Ade's play, "Cap Fry's birthday party," a copy of the Ade play, a poem entitled "The Little Room," and programs for club theatricals. There is also a proposal for a new men's organization to be called The Attic Club.
