Two neutron stars collide 88 light years from Earth unleashing an apocalyptic radiation storm headed straight for Earth. Some fifty years beforehand, Fatimah Sorenson, brilliant astronomer, artificial intelligence & robotics expert, predicts that a supernova will be visible on Earth in the year 2047. Realizing that Earth & humanity may be doomed, Sorenson undertakes a plan to save the human race by creating cellular-immortal constructs in human form.
