The foreword section of the book contains a great article written by Carole Haines, the current president of the Kingsbury Historical Society in the village of Kingsbury, on the history of Kingsbury Hall. Carole is an avid researcher on the history of the Hall and of the village of Kingsbury and has been of immeasurable help in the formation of this history of our family. There is also an article giving the results of the Kingsbury Group DNA project complete with a short summary of what it all means for future research on the family history. Several pages of full color photos of the family coats of arms historically displayed in both the church and the hall in the village of Kingsbury, various additional Kingsbury Coats of Arms used by members of the family down through the ages, and photos of some of the ancient churches that our ancestors used for their places of worship in England. And just for curiosity there is an article on Kingsbury trivia. The actual genealogy section of the book has been garnered from a multitude of sources, but essentially is the first major publication on the family using the modern tools available to us today; namely the computer and DNA analysis. We have been in communication with close to a thousand individuals via email and several have shared their personal information. Many in fact have gone on to send copies of unpublished family histories. All this information was used to augment the earlier published works by Rev. Addison Kingsbury (1901), Mary Kingsbury Talcott (1905), and Arthur Murray Kingsbury (1962). The DNA program has confirmed many of our early theories, including our theory that our original ancestors were the lords of Kingsbury Hall, the Bracebridge family who came to Warwickshire from the village of Bracebridge in Lincolnshire in the 12th century. Thus, for the first time there is an extensive treatment of the Bracebridge family of Kingsbury Hall in this work. DNA has also confirmed that the Kingsborough family of Ireland that emigrated to Canada and America after our original 1630 Kingsbury emigrants was originally from the same Kingsbury family of Suffolk County in England and we have a substantial treatment of this branch of the family in the book. And finally the DNA program has confirmed that the Canadian Kingsbury family are in fact descendants of the Joseph Kingsbury line who settled in Dedham, Massachusetts in 1638, descendants of whom migrated to Vermont and then into Canada.
