Barozzi Veiga Arquitectos are based in Barcelona. The firm was established by Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga in 2004. Among their realized buildings are the remodelling and extension of the headquarters of the Ruling Board for Guarantee of Origin for the Spanish Ribera del Duero winegrowing region in Roa and the Philharmonic House (concert hall) in Szczecin, Poland. They have also been awarded first prizes in the competitions for the extension of the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur, Switzerland (currently under construction), and for a new building for the Musée des Beaux Arts in Lausanne, Switzerland. The search for the primal condition of every piece of the city, town, or landscape where they work is the core interest of Barozzi Veiga’s work.

This new book is the first comprehensive monograph on Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga. It is a subjective compilation of notions, concepts, and interests essential to their everyday professional practice. Each project or building featured in the book is documented with images, drawings and diagrams, and references. The architects’ and editor’s aim is to go beyond a mere description, offering a broader body of knowledge capturing the entirety of Barozzi Veiga’s architecture.
