A 70's 'On The Road' with yoga and rock 'n' roll instead of Buddhism and jazz... Stephan Collins is an aspiring writer in '70s California who thought he was bringing the wisdom of the East to the Wild West with his latest project. Everything was looking good until his life starts to spin out of control after getting involved with a devious Hollywood producer trying to steal his story, a materialistic yogi more interested in sex than salvation, and an L.A. gang who just wants him dead. At the same time, his two closest friends also pursue their visionary dreams in the early days of Silicon Valley with mixed results. James, a Steve Jobs character, is caught in a Romeo and Juliet epic of warring families while Greasy Greg, an On the Road hipster intent on discovering the outer limits of human experience, has his explorations cut short when he bumps up against the local mafia. When their lives are pushed to the limit, it's not certain in the end if the three friends will attain their idealistic visions, or even live to see another day. Sometimes heartbreaking, often humorous, Coast Highway is an inspiring story about the quest for love, truth and the California Dream.
