The Alchemist and the Liar

Jafari Okeke is a 16-year-oldalchemist-in-training at Feechi University. When his mother is taken captive in the Kingdom of Yahto thousands of miles away, Jafari must steal The Book of Seekers, one half of the ancient book of magic called The Book of Aten to free her. The Nation of Feechi is sworn enemies of the Kingdom of Yahto and if Yahto gets The Book of Seekers, it will destroy Feechi. Furthermore, Jafari's twin brother is seeking to thwart Jafari's plan to steal the book. With his brother on his trail and dozens of high alchemists searching for him, Jafari is on his own. The choice is save his mother and let thousands die o r let his mother die and save the others.
