Local Development and Global Issues

This report details the fifth session of the UN Committee on Development Policy, held in April 2003, which considered three topics: the promotion of an integrated approach to rural development for poverty reduction and sustainable development in developing countries; global public goods; and the identification of the least developed countries. It also contains the report of an expert group meeting on the review of the list of least developed countries which met in New York in January 2003.
