Our focus was to create a book children would enjoy coloring while learning something new. The American Revolution was fought north, south, east, and west of the original 13 colonies and is much more colorful than the limited view taught in schools. This book educates children about the activities and people who fought for and supported the creation of the United States from the south and west. These are the people who took the forts on the Mississippi the forts on the Gulf Coast away from the British. These are the people in New Spain who donated money, cattle, and other supplies to the American cause. Spanish Governor of Louisiana and General Don Bernardo de Galvez built a collaborative multi-cultural fighting force that won most of their battles with minimal loss of life on either side.
