Aus Dem Verborgenen

The encounter of artists Berlinde De Bruyckere and Martin Honert in the exhibition provides the Kunsthalle Düsseldorf with a great opportunity of presenting two exceptional positions in the field of contemporary sculpture. The title itself alludes to both a special approach towards the subject matter and the actual context of the works themselves; both sculptors derive their creative impetus from the realm of things concealed, from memory and remembrance, from the substrate and sediments of dreams, as well as from images and photographs.
