Aleijadinho, o teatro da fé

Fine edition with previously unpublished essays by recognized art historian José de Monterroso Teixeira on the life and art of Antonio Francisco Lisboa "Aleijadinho" (b. Ouro Preto, Brazil 1738-1814). The critical texts are illustrated with beautiful images by photographer José de Paula Machado and others and reflect on the regional and historic context of the life and patrimonial legacy of the master sculptor. This homage edition is part of the events following the reorganization and modernization of the Museu Aleijadinho of the Parroquia de Antonio Dias in Ouro Preto.
