Amos is whimsical, adorable, and learns many lessons while opening many opportunities for parent-child conversations about what to do if lost, friendships, jealousy, and more. Amos, The Almost-Perfect Teddy Bear is unique in that it is for both children as well as adults who collect teddy bears. This book allows the reader to use imagination rather than relying on artwork, and is designed to bring out creativity as the book owner may then draw the illustrations or sets up scenes, photograph them, and paste the pictures in the book. I wrote the first Amos story for my mother and was encouraged to continue writing about Amos. A teddy bear collector could de-clutter their home by photographing the collection and putting the pictures in the pages, donating the bears to charity, as they will have the book with the photographs, which takes up far less space, as a memento. Caution: This book does not talk down to children. Their creativity and vocabulary will increase.
