The camp is joined by medicine man Joseph Two Horse, who is acting as a consultant for the nearby Wataska Indian Tribe. After initial harmony, things quickly deteriorate as the field camp is beset with internal conflicts and dissension. What began as a wonderful experience in a breathtaking setting turns into the field school from hell. While Eddie and a loyal group of students try to hold the camp together, local looters are destroying one of the archaeological sites. Amidst acts of sabotage, tensions build as artifacts disappear and another site is destroyed. Things come to a head between Eddie and Two Horse in a midnight showdown after two of Eddieas students go missing.
